Chris Goes to Peru

Hi. This is my record of my trip to Peru. I made this web page in order to show my friends and co-workers how my trip went, but it is also useful for those people I don't know who are thinking about going to Peru. There is a lot of useful information, and hopefully a lot of interesting pictures. I figure that posting a web site is a better way to tell people about Peru than forcing them to look through the 150+ pictures that I took. You can listen to me as long as you like, then do something else for a while.

I am going to split this document into several sections, mirroring the different segments of my trip. Essentially, I flew to Lima and spent several days there. Then I flew to Cusco. Then a train to Machu Picchu, and a night at the ruins. Then a train back to Cusco and flight to Lima. Then back to the US. My trip may not be representative of the typical tourist experience, but hopefully it will provide some insight into Peruvian culture.

Part 1: General Information

Part 2: Lima

Part 3: Cusco

Part 4: Machu Picchu

Part 5: The Way Home

Part 6: A Note on Poverty

If for some reason you think that I'm a great writer, and you like scary, conspiracy-laden, psychological thrillers, you can read my novel, City of Pillars, published by The Invisible College Press. It has nothing to do with Peru though. PS: I use my middle name as my nom de plume, but it's still me.

If for some reason you want to read my creepy, melancholy, darkly-humorous photocomic, just click on this link for tiny ghosts. Unlike the book, this is totally free! However, it also doesn't have anything to do with Peru.

I don't really have a lot more information than what's written in here, but if you want to contact me about something, mail me at: superluminal23@yahoo.com.
