The tour guide said that there were a lot of exotic flowers to see. This is the only one I saw on the trail. Sitting in front of it was an American couple. They told me (in Spanish) that they were giving up because it was too far. We chatted for a while after I told them that I was American also. They really missed out though, the temple was only another 5 minute walk ahead.

This is my only proof that I was actually there. Since I was by myself for most of the trip I couldn't take any pictures of myself. Just before I was leaving though a young Italian couple showed up. They didn't speak English or Spanish, but we did all speak French. They thought that they were headed to the summit. I steered them in the right direction and they took a picture of me.
This picture shows you why they call the area 'cloud forest'.
