More Views of Cusco

Here are some peasants and their little llama. I think that it is a llama. It might be an alpaca. No one ever explained to me what an alpaca is (but many people told me that their fur is very soft). They were hanging out in the plaza near my hotel. I was impressed at first until I realized that they just came out of the hills to let tourists take their picture with a llama (or alpaca) for a few solas. I took this picture from long distance before I realized that they expected to be paid. Sorry.

The view from my hotel room. That is the cathedral in the Plaza des Armes.

I don't really have an explanation for this fresco. All over Peru you can find pictures of famous saints and apostles, but dressed in 17th century Spanish clothing and with really long necks. No one ever explained it to me.

Here is a peasant farmers market that I wandered into. They had a lot of interesting fruits and vegetables that I had never seen before. I didn't buy anything though. They were a little confused as to why I would want to take a picture of them.

Downtown Cusco.

Another square in Cusco. To the extreme right you can see the merchandise of a peasant selling things.

This is the square where my hotel was located. It was very quaint.
