OK, we didn't exactly go to Perpignan proper, we went to the beach, which is called Canet-Plage. We drove through downtown Perpignan to get there, but I didn't see anything all that exciting. It was just a city. That's not to say that there aren't things to see there, but we just didn't see them. We were in a bit of a rush to get to the beach, and then get to Albi before all of the hotels closed for the night.
Canet-Plage is on the coast, just next to Perpignan. It is a beach, resort town, sort of like how Miami Beach compares to Miami City.
