Chris Goes to St. Emilion

Dave attempts to traverse a very slippery, very steep cobblestone street. My mom used to use the phrase, "watch out, you'll fall and break your ass!" when she saw places like this. Dave had never heard the phrase before. It came up a lot between the steep streets of St. Emilion, the prehistoric caves of the Grotte Nieux, and the mountaintop castles of the Languedoc region. It sort of became a running joke. This street was definitely 'ass-breaking' steep.

Another view of St. Emilion.

Here is a picture of the cloister of the church that the Tourist Bureau was in (it is no longer a church). It was raining quite hard at this point.

The roofs of St. Emilion.

Here is a wall from a really old building. I think that it may have been built in Roman times, but don't quote me on that.
