This photo was taken up by the Arcalis ski area. Notice that in the northern part of the country the slopes are all covered with trees, while in the eastern part, they are mostly covered with grass.
Another small Andorran town. Again, notice how there aren't any single family homes, everyone lives in these small apartment buildings.
Here's the sign saying that we were leaving the town of Xixerella. In order to show that you are leaving a town, they draw a red line through the name. It seems standard throughout Europe, but I think that the signs are funny, or at least that they could be taken as a bad omen. (As a note, the sign saying that you had arrived in Xixerella is only about 50 meters up the road.)
Here is another small town in the Andorran countryside. It is tough living between the mountains like this, you are very limited in space.
